in a effort to combine the Baton
Rouge Cars with the Pike County

competitive with the Baton Rouge
cars. If you choose this option
contact Floyd he has a special
price for these items. This is
not something that is mandatory
for you to have, just the
cheapest option for you the
racer. If at anytime you have a
question or concern please give
me a call @225-275-9683 to

PURE STOCK ENGINE CLAIMER RULE
1.
First and second place cars in
feature will be subject to claim
rule by drivers finishing in the
top six still running
competitively at the end of the
feature race with the car being
claimed. This applies to A, B,
and/or C feature events for any
race program. Baton Rouge
Raceway also reserves the right
to claim any 1st or 2nd
place engine under this rule.
2.
Drivers are allowed only one
claim per event regardless of
the outcome of the claim.
Drivers may only claim an engine
that finished ahead of them in
the feature race. In the event
of a multiple claim on the same
engine, engine will go to the
claimant finishing furtherest
back in the feature race.
3.
Engine claim price will be $500
with exchange. The engine being
claimed and exchanged will
include long block, harmonic
balancer, and cylinder heads.
Claim does not include flywheel,
clutch, pressure plate, throwout
bearing, bellhousing,
carburetor, intake mainfold,
starter, motor mounts, sending
units and switches for oil
pressure and water temperature,
exhaust manifold, fan, pulleys,
torque converter, clutch arm,
water pump, fuel pump, or
distributor with wires. $450.00
will go to the owner of the
engine claimed and $50.00 will
go to the low truck pulling the
engine.
4.
Failure to honor an engine claim
will result in a two (2) race
suspension for both car and
driver, plus the loss of points
and money earned for that race.
Neither the car nor driver will
be allowed to compete in Pure
Stock or any class during the
tow race suspension. The driver
also waives his right to claim
anyones else's engine for the
remainder of the season. Second
refusal to honor a claim will
result in loss of money earned
for that race, loss of all
points for that season, and an
indefinite suspension.
5.
Only drivers may claim and claim
must be made in cash or
certified funds. No driver may
claim more than two (2) engines
in a season. No one driver may
claim any other driver more that
once per season. Driver making
the claim must drive his car
immediately after the finish to
the tech area in the infield (or
place designated as such.) AND
MUST REMAIN THERE WITHOUT
STARTING ENGINE UNTIL CLAIM IS
SETTLED. All claims must be made
in writing with accompanying
funds within five (5) minutes
after completion of the feature
race to track official. NOTE:
Engine being claimed, if found
illegal, will be disqualified
with the loss of money, points,

program, and with the claim
still standing. Once removal
procedure begins, claim cannot
be withdrawn without approval.
6.
Soliciting for contributions for
an engine claim will not be
permitted. Soliciting support,
taking of funds, or offering of
funds are not allowed. Anyone
guilty of soliciting may be
